Incredibly disappointing and not as advertised; this property and Vista Stays - avoid. Positive: Nothing, it was a poor experience from arrival to leaving a day early due to the condition, to still waiting 5 days for any confirmation of the agreed refund. I have been ignored since discussing the property with the host and agreeing to be refunded for the night that we didn’t use due to leaving early. Negative: The house was dirty, pool cues were broken, freezer was frozen shut and drawers jammed and smashed, spider egg nests in the walls; cobwebs hanging from the ceiling. The floors and carpets were dirty and stained; we had no hot water due to the boiler not functioning and the shower tray was blocked and flooded after our cold showers. There were stains and something that could be picked off the bedding in the room our son was in. There was no coffee machine despite being advertised; a drawer handle in the kitchen was snapped off and hanging loose; the oven was dirty and oven tray still had food on it. There were old urine stains and splashes under the upstairs toilet seat. No oven gloves provided; light bulb missing from light at top of stairs, the lamp and side table in the living room were broken and falling over, the list goes on. We left the following morning after staying only one night, despite having booked for the weekend. I cannot recommend this property at all. I spoke to the host at length after being called in response to communications I had sent on arrival which included photos as we had paid the full damage deposit and didn’t want to be held responsible for the conditions we found. It was agreed we would be refunded for the night of our stay that we didn’t use due not use but after a week I am still waiting for the refund to appear in my bank account and have had no response to follow up enquiries about this. Avoid.
